Hi Future CDA Family!

Hello, I’m Jessica – a Chicana mother from Oxnard, CA who now resides in Beaverton, OR. I’m a trained Community Birth Doula who is committed to providing culturally relevant and holistic approaches to the prenatal, postpartum and birth experience.

I prioritize listening to my clients and their family’s needs in order to intentionally support them throughout the pregnancy journey. I have a master’s degree in Public Health and a doctoral degree in Social Work which have provided me with various healthcare opportunities including volunteering on maternity floors, taking lactation education classes, and working as a medical scribe and dietitian assistant.

I have had the opportunity to experience having doulas and midwives with my two children, which I learned a lot from and I hold that experience close to my heart. In addition to being a doula, I also teach at Portland State University.
