Donations Disclaimer

Thank you for considering a donation to the Community Doula Alliance (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Your support helps us achieve our mission and make a positive impact in our community.

Community Doula Alliance is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization that is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Donations made to us may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donors are encouraged to consult with their tax advisors or legal counsel to determine the tax implications of their donations. In accordance with IRS regulations, we confirm that no goods or services were provided to you in return for your donation, unless otherwise stated. Upon receipt of your donation, we will send you an acknowledgment letter or email, which may serve as your official receipt for tax purposes. Please keep this acknowledgment for your records.  Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, trade, or share our donors’ personal information with any other entity, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. Donations are non-refundable. However, if you believe that an error has been made in connection with your donation, please contact us immediately at [email protected] or 503-334-0637. We will review all requests on a case-by-case basis and make every effort to address any issues that arise.

For online donations, we use secure third-party services to process your payments. Please review their privacy policies and terms of use, as we are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services. If you set up a recurring donation, you have the right to cancel at any time. To cancel a recurring donation, please contact us at [email protected] or follow the instructions provided in the acknowledgment email for the recurring donation setup.

Community Doula Alliance (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our website and services to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using our website and services if such claims are reported to our Designated Copyright Agent identified below.

Counter-Notification Procedures

If you believe that your content that was removed (or to which access was disabled) is not infringing, or that you have the authorization from the copyright owner, the copyright owner’s agent, or pursuant to the law, to post and use the content in your content, you may send a counter-notification containing the following information to the Designated Copyright Agent:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the content that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the content appeared before it was removed or disabled.
  3. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or a misidentification of the content.

If a counter-notification is received by the Designated Copyright Agent, we may send a copy of the counter-notification to the original complaining party informing that person that we may replace the removed content or cease disabling it in 10 business days.
