Hello, my name is María de la Luz Torres. I am 36 years old. I am a proud Latina Birth Doula. I speak Spanish and English therefore I am bilingual. I live in Portland Oregon. I am a wife and mother of five wonderful children. My favorite pastime, apart from being with family and enjoying the summer, has always been helping others and being around babies and families. That was why I decided to study and get my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Where I had the opportunity to learn more. about the world of babies and their development. At the same time, it helped educate me on how to be a better mother and person. My dreams always went further and that is why I decided to become a birth doula. I am by nature very attached to my customs and values, therefore I respect all types of religion, customs and ideology. I am here to provide you with informational, physical and emotional help during your pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum process. I will do my best, so that you have a beautiful experience during this beautiful process of becoming a mother.

Hola, me llamo Maria de la Luz Torres y tengo 36 años. Soy una orgullosa doula de parto latina. Hablo español e inglés, por lo que soy bilingüe. Vivo aquí en Portland, Oregón. Soy esposa y madre de cinco maravillosos hijos. Mi pasatiempo favorito, además de estar con mi familia y disfrutar del verano, siempre ha sido ayudar a los demás y estar rodeada de bebés y familias. Por eso decidí estudiar y obtener mi Grado Asociado en Educación Infantil. Allí tuve la oportunidad de aprender más sobre el mundo de los bebés y su desarrollo. Al mismo tiempo, me ayudó a aprender cómo ser una mejor madre y persona. Mis sueños siempre fueron más allá y por eso decidí convertirme en doula de parto. Soy muy apegada a mis costumbres y valores, por lo que respeto todo tipo de religión, costumbres e ideología. Estoy aquí para brindarte apoyo informativo, físico y emocional durante tu embarazo, parto y posparto.
